On the east side of the branch of Lake Como sits a small terraced farm with a modest rural building that has been remodeled several times over the years. Reachable only through one steep and narrow mule track, the lot enjoys a unique view of the lake.
The project involves the renovation and extension of the outdoor area through a new space: a glass room in the garden. The old portico facing the landscape, the water cistern, and the cellar are reorganised to create new relationships between the house, the garden, and the lake.
The identity of the existing building remains intact, while the new addition, with its modern touch, fits perfectly between the house and the landscape.
