The V-shaped building has a clear and distinct structure that, like a bookshelf, gradually becomes more interesting and decorative the more it fills up. When curtains, flowers, people, etc. come into place, it will be beautiful in greater values than only design. The building thus allow residents and businesses to contribute with the last piece of architecture.
V28 is located in the municipality of Sollentuna, about 2 kilometres north of Stockholm. The V-shape opens up towards two differently programed inner courtyards and keeps out noise from the rather hard-trafficed Sollentunavägen
The large windows and their highlighted frames in a repetitive pattern create a sequence of live paintings where the residents’ lives are exposed. This also contributes greatly to the minimalistic facade decorated with details like circled railings and a well-selected pattern of fiber cement boards that all together generate a timeless and elegant design
