Especially designed to respond to the demands of a young professional couple who applied for the mortgage loan “PRO.CRE.AR”, the house lies on the outskirts of Pilar in Buenos Aires. As a consequence of dividing the land of former farms into lots, single-family houses started to be built contributing to urban sprawl this area.
The project consists in a unique piece which fully integrates the daily and social life, in addition it appropiates the plot establishing two green areas: one at the front side which provides the access and acts as anterrom, and one another at the back side substantially more private as an extension of the outside hallway and living room.
The inner space of the house provides residents with a warm welcoming and quality space. Richly equipped with this surface of bricks which produces an attractive light and shadows effects; this sieve of bricks not only creates interesting light effects, it will also be the hallmark of this achitectural work. The brick as an expressive material with its distinctive texture and colour, enhance the ambiance with style and elegance.
We actually found ourselves facing a contextual, traditional, austere and perfectly integrated architectural work. There is no need for specialized manpower to be executed, turning into a less costly alternative. An opportunity to verify that a contemporary and commited to its location architecture is possible despite of the resource economy.
