The home consists of wide, open shared spaces and separate private suites. Novell teamed up with Marianne Amodio Architecture Studios to realize our second collaboration together, this time a custom home. The design boasts of peek-a-boo views from floor- level windows, an exuberant use of tile and colour, and coloured glass mosaic chips embedded in the concrete floor. Construction wizardry was used to execute this custom home build- where the family of minimalist details included a structural column that also carries rainwater, flush material transitions, full height doors, an absence of moulding or trims, and a pristine crisp white flawless finish. The home is another approach to the Vancouver trend of multi-generational living, helping to improve housing affordability and availability through thoughtful design.
