TRADICTION AND INNOVATION
These are the elements that make up the DNA of the Lamborghini World.
Here, the soil is seen as a place of memory, a stratified container of knowledge that has been deposited in time and a place where, still nowadays, the measures of territory subdivision remain.
The subdivision, based on the grid formed by centuriatio, defines the elementary square unit in wich the territory is abstractly divided, where tradiction and innovation coexist, vertical and horizontal synergies interact with each other, and two-dimensionality tends to become a three-dimensional shape.
Under the influence of this force, the square, the single element, turns into an abstract solid.
This continuos transition and mutation of shapes, due to the pressure of dynamic forces, generate two landmarks that define the array in wich production processes take place
The key theme of the matter continues within the constructive strategy.
Since the matter is perceived by the eye as a solid, altough is composed mostly by empty space, the bearing structure of the construction is a bare frame in which emptiness prevails and where mass-produced cylindrical profiles are assembled together via spherical knots, contributing to shape definition and acting as the two landmarks'skeleton.
In this skeleton, two pierced triangular perforated sheets of metal join togheter the structure through interlocking hinges. In this way, components can be manufactured, assembled, disassembled and recycled (if needed) very easily.
The filtering, due to the pierced coating material and the consequent variable perception of the underlying structure, allow an ever-changing perception of the work thanks to constant alterations of light and the observer's position.
The choice to plate the two structures with different materials comes from the willingness to create an ensemble, a space layed between tradition (corten) and innovation (bare steel) produced from the same material.
In the first gate we have chosen corten because this material remind to the colour of land and consequently tradition of the places.
In the second gate we have chosen metal sheet material because remind to the lightness, innovation and technology, etermining factors of the brands ideology.
