We propose an extension of the existing premises; the hermetic closure of the cemetery is extended and is defined a new enclosure of privacy and seclusion, isolated from the outside. Rooms and public spaces are articulated through private courtyards that provide light, ventilation, and allow seeing the sky view from the inside. These courtyards, in time, will be covered with vegetation and will generate a new interior landscape.
The building contrasts with the existing system; construction is defined by a prefabricated system of load-bearing walls of reinforced concrete and hollow-core slabs, large glass windows and light partitions. This allowed us to occupy the plot in just 4 months.
