The Memory Garden

In 2001 the city council of Vinaròs demolished the convent and church of San Francisco, a complex from the 17th century not yet legally protected. In 2014 F. Vegas and C. Mileto were given the commission to build a garden where the convent of San Francisco was. The project intends to recover the historical memory by evoking the existing buildings and its surrounding gardens, but also to regenerate the urban space and return it to the citizens so that it becomes an encounter place.
