Doğuş automotive Technology Center arise as an idea that can both creates a perceptible new image from TEM highway and a workspace that meets the sky in-between all the valleys around.
It is located in TEM highway in the direction of Gebze-İstanbul, Şekerpınar exit.
Although this Technology Center will be hosting software and management employee population; the infrastructure and planning problems evokes questions about the operating system not only for architecture but also for the other disciplines. There will be a Cafeteria and an education facility in the upper Structure where the project will be standing nearby.
This structure creates a self-enclosed impression with its simple, prismatic but concrete precast panel façade design. We mostly are concerned about that our design, which will turn out to be a campus and be a new add-on during the upper structure design both differentiate from its environment and has its own sustainability.
There is 3 floors high main void inside the structure that welcomes the users. It is not only designed as a reception area but also designed as an atrium, merged with landscape and not only limited with interior spaces. It holds project meetings and seasonal short term employee events.
Inside this tall void, a ladder hanging from the ceiling is designed, reaches from the ground to the higher floors and will be leading users to the upper floors
All the office floors involve open work areas and meeting rooms. These two components positioned in the atrium bring dynamism not only to the void inside the structure but also to the work environment. On the top floor, there is a dining hall and a semi open social space designed for all the employees. This point has the best view and is leaved for public use. Ground floor is designed as a transition zone that contains various meeting spaces and offices. While The Cafeteria at the entrance opens out, the terraces and resting spaces near the reflecting pool are designed as comfort zones for the employees who works whole day in front of computer. In the cellar, there are sport center, data center, technical spaces and vehicle store incorporated in customs area.”
